Benefits & What Makes It Different
Durable Aluminum Handle
Unlike plastic handles that snap under the weight of wet leaves, this aluminum reinforcement provides the leverage needed for heavy debris.
Snap-Adapt Connection
Equipped with a snap-adapt handle, this skimmer net fits most standard telescopic poles, ensuring a secure lock during vigorous skimming.
ABS Molded Frame
The heavy-duty ABS frame is designed to withstand tough wear and UV exposure, preventing the cracking often seen in entry-level skimmers.
Compatibility
- Standard 1-1/4 inch telescopic poles
- All pool surface types including plaster, vinyl, and fiberglass
When To Use This
Pro Tip
Technicians often use the edge of the ABS frame to gently nudge debris away from the tile line before scooping, as the smooth molded plastic won't scratch the pool finish.
Common Questions & Instructions
How long does a Pentair aluminum handle skimmer net typically last?
In our experience, with regular residential use, the heavy-duty net and ABS frame typically last 2-3 seasons, significantly longer than generic big-box versions that often fail within one summer.
Is this skimmer net compatible with my existing pool pole?
Yes, the Pentair Hand Skimmer is equipped with a snap-adapt handle, which is the industry standard specification for compatibility with most 1-1/4 inch diameter telescopic poles.
Can this net be used for removing heavy debris like acorns or small branches?
While designed primarily for leaves, the robust construction and heavy-duty net reliably handle heavier organic debris without the frame flexing or the mesh tearing.
