Marketing — the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google Ads conversion tracking. Lets us measure ad performance and show you relevant ads on Facebook, Instagram, and Google if you've visited us before. This is the category that California law treats as "sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising."

You can change your choice anytime by clicking Manage cookies in the footer of any page. California residents can use the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link in the footer to opt out of the Marketing category specifically.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal. If your browser sends GPC (Brave, Firefox with privacy settings on, DuckDuckGo Browser, etc.), we automatically deny the Marketing category — you don't need to click anything.

• Delete personal information we hold about you, with limited exceptions

• Limit the use of sensitive personal information

We do not sell personal information for money. We do share information with Google and Meta for the targeted advertising described above, which California law treats as "sharing." You can opt out at any time using the methods above.

Your Texas Privacy Rights (TDPSA)

Texas residents have similar rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, including the right to access, correct, delete, and opt out of targeted advertising and the sale of personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@simplifiedpools.com.

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information only with:

• Service providers who help us run the site, store data, process payments, or deliver services on our behalf (Shopify, Twilio, SendGrid, Supabase, Cloudflare, Vercel, Google, Meta) — all bound by contract to protect your data
• Law enforcement when required by a valid legal request
• Successor entities in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — we'd notify you first

Data Retention

We keep contact-form submissions and inquiries for as long as needed to respond and follow up, typically two years. Order and service records are kept for seven years to satisfy tax and warranty requirements. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics defaults (currently 14 months) unless you opt out.

Security

We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS / TLS) for data in transit and password hashing for stored credentials. No system is perfect — if we ever experience a breach affecting your personal information, we'll notify you within the timeframes required by Texas and California law.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy
