Troubleshooting
Pump loses prime or has air in the basket
Possible Causes
- Worn or dry lid o-ring
- Air leak on the suction side (unions, drain plugs, valves)
- Low water level
How to Fix
Check the lid o-ring and seat it clean, tighten suction unions and drain plugs, and bring the water to mid-skimmer.
Pump won't run at all
Possible Causes
- No controller or automation command
- Lost communication
How to Fix
RS-485 test: jumper pins 1-3 and 2-4 and power up. If it runs at 2600 RPM, the fault is the wiring or the controller, not the pump.
Motor error on the controller
Possible Causes
- Drive fault
How to Fix
Breaker off, wait at least five minutes, power back on. With power off, a 5/16" Allen key through the fan housing turns the shaft by hand if it is not seized.
