The Scuba X1 Pro Max uses a dual-stage filtration system with two swappable filter options designed for different debris environments — a coarse mesh filter for high-debris situations with heavy leaf and organic material loads, and a replaceable ultra-fine MicroMesh™ filter that captures algae spores, fine dust, sand, silt, and microscopic particles down to 3 microns. To put that in perspective, a human hair is approximately 70 microns wide — meaning the MicroMesh™ filter captures particles more than 20 times finer than that, including contaminants that are entirely invisible to the naked eye but contribute to cloudy, chemically imbalanced water. Will the Aiper Scuba X1 Pro Max clean my entire pool — floor, walls, waterline, and surface?+
Yes. The Pro Max is a true 4-in-1 cleaner. It scrubs the floor with dual rotating brushes, climbs and scrubs walls, scrubs the tile line at the waterline, and skims floating leaves, pollen, and bugs off the water surface — all from a single robot, all without a hose.
How long does the battery last on a single charge?+
The 10,400 mAh battery delivers up to 10 hours of total runtime. Plan on roughly 5 hours of intense floor + wall cleaning or up to 10 hours of surface-skim-only mode. Most DFW residential pools finish a complete floor-and-wall cycle in 2–3 hours, leaving plenty of margin.
What size pool can it handle?+
Up to 3,230 sq ft (pools up to ~30 meters long) on a single charge. It works in concrete/plaster, fiberglass, vinyl, and tile pools, and is rated for both fresh water and salt water.

What kind of debris can the filter pick up?+
The 5L MicroMesh™ Ultra-Fine filter captures particles as small as 3 microns — that's fine sand, pollen, and even free-floating algae. Use the coarse mesh insert for leaves and acorns in fall, the ultra-fine filter for spring pollen and a green-to-clean recovery.
Do I need WiFi or the HydroComm Pro accessory to run it?+
No. The Pro Max runs fully standalone — drop it in, press the button, walk away. WiFi unlocks scheduling, mode changes, and cleaning history from the Aiper app. The optional HydroComm Pro floating gateway extends real-time control underwater and adds water-quality testing, but it's not required for the cleaner to function.
How does the wireless charging dock work?+
Park the robot on the dock wet, straight from the pool — there are no metal contacts to corrode and no plug to dry off. The inductive coil safely charges through the housing. It's a "park it and forget it" workflow that beats every corded-charger competitor.
