Product Overview
At 78% available chlorine, Poolife TurboShock delivers the highest concentration of fast-acting calcium hypochlorite available for rapid sanitation.
In our experience, Poolife TurboShock 12lb (packaged as a 12 LB box containing convenient 1 lb pouches) is what pool techs reach for when dealing with heavy organic loading or stubborn algae blooms. Formulated with 78% Calcium Hypochlorite (calcium hypochlorite), it delivers maximum sanitizing power per ounce without adding cyanuric acid to your water. It quickly dissolves across vinyl, plaster, and fiberglass finishes, requiring only 9 to 16 ounces per 10,000 gallons.

Common Questions & Instructions
How much Poolife TurboShock do I need per 10,000 gallons?
For routine shock treatment or clearing cloudy water, broadcast 9 to 16 ounces (one 1 lb pouch) per 10,000 gallons of pool water directly into the deep end with the pump running.
Does TurboShock raise cyanuric acid or calcium hardness?
Because it is unstabilized calcium hypochlorite, it adds zero cyanuric acid (CYA). It will slightly elevate calcium hardness over time, so ensure calcium hardness stays in the recommended 200–400 ppm range.
When is it safe to swim after treating with TurboShock?
Keep swimmers out of the water after application until filtration has circulated the shock and free chlorine levels drop back into the ideal range of 1–3 ppm.
