Troubleshooting

Pump loses prime or has air in the basket

Possible Causes

  • Worn or dry lid o-ring
  • Air leak on the suction side (unions, drain plugs, valves)
  • Low water level

How to Fix

Check the lid o-ring and seat it clean, tighten suction unions and drain plugs, and bring the water to mid-skimmer.

Water leaking between the motor and the pump

Possible Causes

  • Worn mechanical shaft seal

How to Fix

Replace the shaft seal (356210S) before the leak rusts the motor bearings.

ON/STOP light blinking red

Possible Causes

  • An alarm has stopped the pump — e.g. Priming Failure, Overheat, Over Current, Over/Under Voltage

How to Fix

Read the code in the Pentair Pool app, the automation or the touchscreen, and fix that cause. A blinking green/yellow light is a warning only.
