Troubleshooting

Pump loses prime or has air in the basket

Possible Causes

  • Worn or dry lid o-ring
  • Air leak on the suction side (unions, drain plugs, valves)
  • Low water level

How to Fix

Check the lid o-ring and seat it clean, tighten suction unions and drain plugs, and bring the water to mid-skimmer.

Water leaking between the motor and the pump

Possible Causes

  • Worn mechanical shaft seal

How to Fix

Replace the shaft seal (071734S) before the leak rusts the motor bearings.

Alarm on the keypad

Possible Causes

  • Priming Failure
  • Overheat
  • Over Current
  • Over Voltage
  • Power Out (supply under 170 VAC)

How to Fix

A priming failure retries after 10 minutes and becomes a hard stop after five tries — fix the air leak, then reset. The pump will not start while the impeller is already turning.
