Variable-speed pump, 1.65 THP, 115/230V. Hayward's drop-in upgrade for MaxFlo pumps up to 1.5 HP. Runs from its keypad, a relay or Hayward automation. Current Hayward versions: SP23520VSPX1 (with OmniX), W3SP2303VSP, HL2350020VSP (Omni).

Troubleshooting
Pump loses prime or has air in the basket
Possible Causes
- Worn or dry lid o-ring
- Air leak on the suction side (unions, drain plugs, valves)
- Low water level
How to Fix
Check the lid o-ring and seat it clean, tighten suction unions and drain plugs, and bring the water to mid-skimmer.
Water leaking between the motor and the pump
Possible Causes
- Worn mechanical shaft seal
How to Fix
Replace the shaft seal (SPX2700SA) before the leak rusts the motor bearings.
Display shows 'Check System'
Possible Causes
- Pump has stalled
- Drive overload
- DC voltage too high or too low
- Drive is overheated
How to Fix
Read the message and the event log (it keeps the last 20 errors). Cycle power; a drive overload sometimes clears only that way. A stall usually means debris in the impeller.
