Dosage:
~ Sand filters, add 1/2 gallon per backwash cycle.
~ Cartridge and D.E. Filters, 1/2 gallon per cleaning.
Directions: Sand Filter:
1. First, backwash the filter.
2. Next, empty the pump basket and pour in half a gallon of the product.
3. Turn on the pump and allow the product to backwash into the filter.
4. Once you see water in the backwash sight glass or coming from the air release valve, switch off the pump.
5. Let the product remain in the filter overnight for soaking.
6. The following day, backwash the filter thoroughly to ensure complete cleaning. Be careful to prevent any of the products from entering the pool.
Directions: Cartridge & D.E. Filters:
1. In a clean plastic container, such as a garbage can, mix half a gallon of Baquacil Universal Filter Cleaner with 5 gallons of water. For DE (diatomaceous earth) filters, ensure you backwash them thoroughly before removing the DE grids.
2. For cartridge filters, take out the cartridges and rinse off any loose debris.
3. Soak the DE grids or cartridges in the Baquacil Universal Cleaner solution overnight, making sure they are fully submerged in the solution.
4. After soaking, remove them, rinse thoroughly with water, reassemble the elements, and resume normal filter operation.
